What is our Large Moon Suncatcher?

This is a unique wood and large crystal suncatcher, handmade by us in Co. Leitrim, Ireland.

We use ethically and locally sourced Irish wood and a high-quality crystal chosen for its clarity and light-catching qualities. This piece can also be appreciated as a feng shui crystal, used as a decorative window feature within the home.

When hung in a window, sunlight catches the crystal, which acts as a prism and disperses rainbows around your room.

This large moon suncatcher makes an ideal gift for any age or occasion — for him or for her — including weddings, remembrance pieces, special occasions, new baby or christening gifts, baby showers, birthdays, and Mother’s Day. It is also perfect for anyone who simply loves all things lunar.

The finer details

  • The wooden moon is approximately 6.5 inches (165 mm) at its longest point.

  • The large crystal suncatcher comes with a choice of crystal styles:

    • Angel: a 30 mm crystal sphere with Tibetan silver wings, a 14 mm crystal head, and a decorative crystal crown

    • Sphere: a 40 mm crystal sphere (round ball shape)

    • Sun: a 45 mm crystal sun (flat disc shape)

  • We protect the wood using approximately 4–6 coats of Danish oil.

  • Each suncatcher is hung using strong, high-quality braided line that does not degrade in sunlight, making it ideal for hanging in a bright window.

  • The hanging length measures approximately 16 inches (400 mm) from the top of the moon to the metal hoop.

Please note that our suncatchers are designed for indoor use only and have not been tested outdoors.
