Personalised Suncatchers

Artwood Suncatchers is a family business based in Co. Leitrim, Ireland. Giolla and Emily and their 4 children live and work in an idyllic spot between the Sliabh an Iarainn mountain and the River Shannon.

Our Story

Our Suncatchers are made from native Irish wood and Asfour crystal. When hung in direct sunlight the crystal acts as a prism and refracts dazzling rainbows on the surrounding walls.

The Fiddler of Dooney is a warm poem about a man preparing for the end of his life, and looking forward to heaven. Yeats said that near where he grew up in Innisfree there was a rock named Dooney Rock, where he would often go to as a child.
